CO-1 started his dj career by first mixing at "party crew" events in the early years. He later hosted and mixed at college events which included College Fest at Papa's & Beer in Rosarito Beach, Mexico.

In 2000, CO-1 hooked up with DJ Drew from L.A. and started collaborating to produce multi-track mixes which where featured on KIIS FM in Los Angeles.  A few years later, Program Director, Eddie GO! brought CO-1 on board as a mixer to the Reno market. After a couple of years in Reno, CO-1 relocated and now performs in the Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Orange County areas. He is now back on-air with Eddie GO! at KAGM on Power 106 Albuquerque, NM.

CO-1 has recently performed for the Freestyle Explosion concert series, for the Love Affair concert series, was Las Vegas' Mayor Goodman's official birthday party dj in 2009, and continues to host multiple dj residencies on a weekly basis. A past member of the West Coast Record Pool and the Heavyweights Record Pool, DJ CO-1 continues to put out various mix tapes found at www.djco1.com.

The history behind the name, people ask…”What does DJ CO-1 stand for?” – well, it is the acronym for deputy juvenile corrections officer 1. In his previous life, CO-1 worked and volunteered for multiple law enforcement agencies. Before his early retirement, a colleague suggested, “hey, if you keep djing and do radio you should keep the officer title since it has the word DJ in it…” so he did.
